FIRST, LET’S TALK FALL COLORS.
Autumn is all about warm hues, earthy tones, and serene neutrals. The Fall season is one of my favorite times of the year because of all of the beautifully rich and deep colors. I’m going to give you some decorating ideas and show you some of my favorite items from Amazon to introduce the gorgeous fall color palette into your home. We are going to bring in shades of terracotta, rust, yellow, green, blue, orange, and of course, neutral fall color scheme.
Terracotta, Rust, and Yellow: These are the rustic shades of the leaves during the fall season. You can incorporate these autumn tones in your house by displaying a terracotta vase or fall leaf serving bowl, adding yellow and rust-colored throw pillows and a coordinating blanket to your sofa and chairs, and setting your table with terracotta, rust, and yellow dishes.
Deep, Dark Green: When you think of fall, you think of nature and the outdoors. Now is the perfect time to add some lush green leafy plants to your home. Place the plants in a bare corner of a room or in a room that needs a pop of color to add some interest.
Midnight Blue: Deep dark midnight blue and navy blue are elegant fall hues to add to your autumn home decor. Add shades of blue to your tablescape with napkins or placemats. Paint a blue wall in your bedroom or dining room to elevate the decor.
Orange and Mustard Yellow: These tones are the most popular colors of fall. Create a table or bookcase shelf display with items that remind you of the fall season like pumpkins, gourds, and faux flowers.
Beige, Taupe, and Cream: Use these serene neutrals as the starting point for your seasonal home decor. A beige tablecloth will blend with any autumn accent colors on your dinner table. Change your guest bedding to a taupe comforter set with vivid, patterned fall throw pillows for a relaxing and inviting place for your guests to stay.
SECOND, LET’S TALK FABRICS AND TEXTURES.
Now that we know how to welcome the fall color palette into our homes, let’s add some soft and cozy fabrics to make everyone feel more comfortable.
Plush Blankets and Throws: It’s time to put away the lightweight throws and bring out the thick faux fur throws and soft weighted blankets. Drape them over your sofa, chairs, and beds, so they are readily available for snuggle time during the fall season.
Soft Plush Rugs: If you have bare floors, consider adding a soft plush area rug in the beautiful fall tones for extra warmth for your feet and create an inviting atmosphere in your room.
Velvet and Suede: Who doesn’t love the feel of soft, warm velvet or microfiber suede? Maybe you’ve been searching for a new chair for your family room and can’t find one in a material you like. Look for a solid-colored velvet or suede chair and add a throw pillow with a fall-inspired color scheme, and your room will take on a charming autumn appearance.
Seasonal Pillows: Shop for some fall motif throw pillows with pumpkins, leaves, and cute phrases, and place them on chairs, benches, and beds throughout your home for some fun fall vibes.
Layered Bedding: Pack up your lightweight summer bedding and replace it with a thick, luscious comforter set. Layer autumn-colored quilts and throw pillows on the bed to add extra coziness to the room.

NEXT, LET’S TALK FALL HOME DECOR.
Now we are going to talk about adding in the little extra decorating items that will bring the colors, textures, and fabrics all together for your home furnishings transition from summer to fall.
Wreaths: Hang an autumn-colored wreath on your front door to welcome your guests from the minute they arrive at your home.
Centerpieces: Add some interest to your foyer or dining table with a beautiful centerpiece made of colorful fall leaves, painted pinecones, and fresh flowers such as orange chrysanthemums, red roses, and yellow sunflowers.
Candles: Nothing says homey and inviting more than having lit candles in every room and on every dining table. Purchase candles in the scents of the fall season, like pumpkin, apple pie, and, of course, vanilla.
Nature: Bring the beauty of nature indoors. Place a wooden serving tray on top of an ottoman or guest bed for a bit of autumn nature-inspired decor. Add a scented candle, some fall leaves and pinecones, and a holiday magazine to the tray to greet your guests.
Artwork: Hang pictures depicting the fall season, such as trees with their leaves changing, a beautiful field with a farmhouse, or a family playing in a yard of fallen leaves.
